Happy New Year to all!!!

I prepared a little something on our table this year. The kids enjoyed helping out baking the chocolate fudge cake. I made a lumpia, fruit salad, cassava cake and some fruits.

Common Filipino Foods

These are common Filipino foods serve on different celebration and occasions.

Biko is a rice cake with caramel topping or latik usually served during birthday parties, fiestas, and other Filipino celebrations.

Lumpia is a traditional Filipino dish. It is the Filipino version of the egg rolls . It can be served as a side dish or as an appetizer.

Pancit is a Filipino name or term for noodles. Filipino serve pancite every birthday to symbolize long life.

We bought this chicken from KFC, but nevertheless every Filipino party and celebration chicken is always present.

These are the simple food we served during my daughter's second birthday.
