Ottogi Curry

I bought this Ottogi Curry Mix at the Korean store nearby our place. I miss having curry but too bad I don't know much how to do it from scratch.
So, I tried the curry mix following the instructions written at the back.
It looks alright but the taste is not as good as it look. And besides am the only one eating all these but can't finished all of it so I ended up throwing the rest of it.

Actually cooking curry dish is not that complicated. It all starts with the curry powder. Then you can cook your favorite dish by just adding curry powder. The easiest to cook is chicken curry. Here's the recipe:

1 kilo chicken sliced to medium cuts
1 coconut for coconut milk (gata)
1/2 kilo potatoes (quartered)
1/4 kilo carrots (sliced -medium size)
4 pcs large siling pang sigang - sliced diagonal
1 small sachet or can tomato sauce
1 small pack curry powder
1 onion - sliced - medium
1 small garlic or 5 pcs garlic ear
Patis or toyo to taste
Black pepper to taste
1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
cooking oil

Directions
Saute onion, garlic in small amount of cooking oil, add a little toyo or patis to taste

Add chicken and 1/2 tsp curry powder
Add quartered potatos and sliced carrots and sliced siling pansigang
Cook until chicken is brown
Add tomato sauce and oyster sauce
Add coconut milk and a little pepper and additional (about 1/2 tsp) curry powder
Cook well and serve hot

Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.
