Mitigating the Loss in Healthcare Services

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

One of the biggest single organizations that are being affected in Walgreens and Express Scripts fall out is the health care services of Tricare, who handles the health and drug prescription program of US military service personnel and their dependents. This has cause significant changes to plan holders during prescription refills especially when they are deployed abroad. It is thought that Express Scripts action would affect the local community pharmacies if they are going to use their own mail order pharmacy business.

In fairness to Walgreens, one of the steps that they tried to work out with Express Scripts is guaranteeing that their prices would match or beat the average costs per adjusted prescription of all other pharmacies in the Tricare network. But all their efforts to prevent the health care service of the US military service men and women from being disrupted were put in vain as Express Scripts continue rejecting it.

In order to minimize the impact of these issues, Walgreens offered a special discount for its Prescription Savings Club at Walgreens.
